Education Outside the Classroom

EOTC

At Sacred Heart, we believe in furthering our students' education with high interest, topic related and authentic experiences and trips to bring their learning to life outside the classroom e.g. Otago Museum, Toitū Early Settlers Museum, Art Gallery, Marine Studies Centre and the Trinity Catholic College Productions. ​

Camp

School Camp is a very important part of the culture of our school.​ Ruma Kereru (Year 5 & 6 children) participate in a School Camp bi-annually and it is widely supported by parents who join us for this event. Our camps are held at the Lakeland Park Christian Camp in Queenstown. Some of the activities that children participate in are:

  • Gondola 

  • Luge

  • Swimming Pool

  • Camp site activities

  • Fear Factor Night
