Parents and Friends Association

The PFA works to provide social and pastoral support within our school community, and is most visible with organising social and special events. These include school pyjama and movie nights, a school disco, end of year celebrations, among many of the wonderful school events that take place throughout the year.

Pastoral support is provided in numerous ways and is a very important part of the group. We try to support families in times of need (e.g. new baby, sickness, bereavement etc). All families experience times when a little extra help can make a big difference. As a part of this, from time to time we ask for donations of meals and baking that people are in a position to give, these are always very gratefully received.

We also organise and run various fundraisers through the year to support projects within the school, for example classroom resources or playground equipment.

We usually meet once a term. If you would like to be part of this group or would just like to attend a meeting to see what it is all about, then please let us know, either in person or via the school office. If you have any ideas or suggestions we would love to hear from you. We would love to have you on board as part of supporting the amazing school community we are blessed with at Sacred Heart School.

Contact people: Emmeline Kendrick is the president of the PFA. PFA@sacredheartdn.school.nz.
